Office job: lots of sitting, little movement - the consequences for your shoulder

Anyone who spends the majority of their working day in an office will be familiar with the problem: sitting for long periods, hardly any movement and often one-sided strain on the musculoskeletal system. The shoulders in particular suffer from this monotony. Muscular imbalances and overloading are often the cause of shoulder pain, which can become chronic over time.

Why do our shoulders suffer in everyday office life?

Our shoulders are dependent on a variety of movements. Sitting for hours on end - often in a poor posture in front of a screen - permanently overstrains certain muscle groups, while others atrophy. The result: instability, pain and limited mobility. Without timely countermeasures, this problem is exacerbated.

Sports physiotherapy: evidence-based exercises as a solution

In modern sports physiotherapy, we rely on scientifically based approaches to promote shoulder health. Studies clearly show that active therapy is the key to chronic shoulder pain. This means that targeted, individually adapted exercises can stabilize the shoulder, improve mobility and increase resilience.

Our approach is based on three pillars:

    • Stability: building strong, balanced shoulder muscles

    • Mobility: maintaining and restoring the natural range of motion

    • Resilience: preparing the shoulder for the demands of everyday life and sport

    Functional and sustainable therapy

Every shoulder is as individual as the person behind it. That's why we always adapt the therapy to your personal requirements and goals. Our exercise programs are designed to be functional - which means they are based on natural movement patterns - and they aim for long-term improvements rather than short-term symptoms.
